How to Use:
- Preparation:
- Clean the probe with ethyl alcohol for disinfection.
- Press the On/Off button. The display will show “888.8” followed by the last recorded temperature.
- After a self-check, the thermometer will show “Lo°C” or “Lo°F,” indicating it’s ready for use.
- Temperature Measurement:
- Oral Use: Place the probe under the tongue for about 60 seconds until the reading stabilizes.
- Rectal Use: Lubricate the probe and gently insert it into the rectum (for infants or when advised by a doctor).
- Axillary Use (Underarm): Place the probe under the armpit and keep the arm pressed against the body.
- Reading the Results:
- When the measurement is complete, the temperature will stop flashing, and you will hear a beep.
- The reading will remain displayed until the thermometer turns off.
- After Use:
- Clean the probe with a disinfectant.
- Press the On/Off button to manually turn off the device or wait for auto shut-off.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Always clean the probe before and after each use with alcohol.
- Avoid immersing the thermometer in water; only the probe is waterproof.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
Battery Replacement:
- When the battery icon appears on the LCD, replace the battery.
- Open the battery compartment and insert a new 1.5V button battery.
